It seems that the world has become bored with no great battles to fight, and so we've starting fighting amongst ourselves.

It's always us vs. them- Pro-choice and Pro-Life, childfree or blessed with children, Conservative, Liberal, Communist, male, female, white power and racial equality... everyone seems to think that their side is the best, the most American (or European if it's that sort of argument), the moral and clear winner. Everyone has someone in their ring, God or science or maybe their own ego.

"America was founded on Biblical Beliefs!" "No it wasn't!" "I'm not even American, you arrogant slobs!"

The point is:
Who cares? Who cares if all the founding fathers were liberal or not? Who cares if I happen to have a uterus and you don't? Many people, apparently.

We try to split ourselves up and win battles that nobody is fighting, all for the claim that we're bettering the world. And yet, for all this talk, nothing is happening.

Nobody is focused on helping each other. We're focused on winning, being the heroes, giving the final insult to our opponent's face. We're tearing each other down, bit by bit, instead of supporting one another and helping a damaged world straighten itself up.

So many people get caught up in morality and societal structure for their personal utopias that we forget what it's really about- the people. Humankind. We need each other to thrive, and honestly? If every side of every moral war continues to dehumanize its opponents, we won't have any humans left at all.
